Demolition Day

They got a bright and early start this morning and had half the house down in the 20 minutes before I left for work.

Knocking it down
Load on the semi and drive out to the field, then unload.
Light it on fire.  It is still glowing out there tonight.
The foundation that was left.  They dug that up too.  Coming back tomorrow to finish filling in this hole and covering up the hole in the field.

Weekend visitors

Audrey got a visit from her cousins today.  Charlie, Emmy and Henry provided a lot of entertainment and they brought pizza!

Audrey (9m) and Hank the Tank (2m)
Audrey did take 3 consecutive steps Friday night before falling!  We are counting that as walking :)
My two cute dogs cuddling.  Ellie lets Audrey crawl all over her without moving.  Molly won't let her near.

Out with the old...

So the old house is coming down on Monday.  Audrey has to say goodbye to her first home.  They brought the equipment out and dug the hole in the field where they will carry the house to and then burn, then cover.

This is a really! big hole.  Ellie made me nervous going right up to the edge.
This is a sink hole we have now where they buried the corn crib.  We'll need to do some work in the spring to make the yard safe.

Happy 2013!

It's been a great year so far!  We adopted a new dog from Central Illinois Humane Society in Bloomington.  Her name is Ellie May.  She is a 5 y/o Fox Hound, weighing about 50lbs.  So far, she is doing great.  She and Molly have been playing well.  She is tiny, but all muscle.  We are going to train her on the electric fence today and hopefully it won't be long before we can let her run because she really wants to go!
Audrey also welcomed two more cousins on the 4th.  Uncle Kyle and Aunt Lana had their twins, Tyler and Luke.  Can't wait to see them!

She has the letter "Y" in her mouth.  It's one of those foam letters and she loves to chew on it.

This is one of Audrey's Christmas presents.  She loves it.  Likes to ride on it (low ride), walking along side of it and dances to the music.
