Happy 2nd Birthday Audrey!



Our beautiful first born turned 2 years old today.  We celebrated with family today.

We went for a walk and Audrey pulled her new wagon the whole way.  She also stopped every 5 feet to push her button that sings Happy Birthday.

Despite vomiting (& showering) at 12:30am, Audrey had a great day today.  Thank you to everyone for coming (or calling) to help us celebrate.  She loves all of her gifts and we are very thankful to have a healthy wonderful daughter and a great family.

Bye, bye beach

We had to say goodbye to the beautiful weather of Florida.  Back to cold Illinois. 

 

Carol- I do remember those sunburns.  However, I don't know what you mean about the transportation - that was the coolest 1985 limousine I've ever seen :)

Work, ugh

The real purpose of this trip was a work conference, which started today.  While I was sitting in a conference room, the others were playing on the beach (another cold morning) and the sun came out in the afternoon for another beautiful day spent at the beach.

This morning it was cloudy, windy and cold.  We took a long walk on the beach, in jackets, and then took great naps.

When we woke up it was sunny and warm.  So we played some shuffleboard.  (when in Rome...)

Then we went to the beach where it was beautiful and then the pool where the water was finally warm!

We are spending the week in Florida.  So far, the wind has been fierce and the water is cold.  But our place is nice, the atmosphere is nice and the girls love the beach.

Brian is the only one who's gotten in the water so far.  Audrey doesn't even like her feet going in.

The pool is slightly warmer, but not by much.  Audrey got some floaties and enjoyed playing until she was shivering too much.

Kids and dogs

Bessie and Evelyn had check-ups this week.  Bessie is almost 3 months old and weighs 15lbs.  She still has some work to do with training, but is getting better (maybe?). 

Evelyn had her 6 month check-up and shots and weighs 17lbs (61st percentile) and 26inches (46th percentile).  She is 1lb more than Audrey at this age.  She likes the sweet potatoes and applesauce that's she tried so far.  She can sit up on her own.

Happy half-birthday to Evelyn!  Can't believe its been 6 months since this cutie came along. 

 

She's doing better at sitting up.  She finally likes her cereal. 

Evelyn is very entertained by her big sister.

She still hates tummy time.  Will roll over sometimes, usually just screams until she is rescued.
