Got the lumber dropped off today so they can start laying the floor tomorrow.

Week 4 - Friday

Today we got a garage floor poured.  Have to keep the dogs off of here until it dries.  Stay tuned next week; we start building up!!

Week 4 - Thursday

Rained on our fresh concrete, but just have a little standing water.  Today they put in the steel beams.

Week 4 - Wednesday

We have a concrete basement floor now!  Takes about a week to dry/set, so won't have much happening for rest of the week.

Week 4 - Tuesday

Lots of planning and organizing done today for the house.  Workers were here preparing the basement for concrete coming tomorrow.  Changed planned electrical service to make more efficient (& save money).  Getting a local bid for water and septic hookup. 
Site doesn't look any different, so no picture update.

Week 4

No work on the house today- not sure why, beautiful weather.  The inspector did come out today and everything good on his end. 

We had a beautiful baby shower yesterday and received just about everything we need to bring home baby (3 weeks, 3 days to go!).  Thank you to everyone who came, all the gifts and especially to Mom, Lana and Jodi- the wonderful hosts who put in a lot of work.  (And to Dad for preparing the house).  I'm having a few contractions daily, but hoping she(?) stays put for another couple weeks :)

Week 3 - Thursday

Today the excavator came out again to do the backfill and put more gravel under the garage and front porch.  Also got the plumbing roughed-in in the basement.
