Bahama Mama!

Audrey applied for her passport today because we are going to the Bahamas in December (it's a work thing).  She woke up from a dead sleep to smile big for the camera.

Monday

Audrey went to daycare today so Brian could get some work done outside.  Allen brought his tractor over and mowed down the weeds in the field- had to go in super-slow mode because they were so tall.  They also moved dirt around to fill in all the holes in our yard.

This is a picture from last night while Daddy was watching her.  She is a hot mess.  Mismatched clothes, one sock off and in her mouth, hat still on, toy stuck on her arm and she peed herself.  She made me laugh!

Our weekend

It was a beautiful weekend lounging around the house.  Audrey attended her first Illini game.  She had a good time looking at everything, but we still couldn't cheer them to a victory.

A good weekend

We had a great weekend.  Mike, Jodi, the kids and the dogs came down to stay the weekend.  On Saturday, the rest of the crew showed up and we got some work done; moved leftover building materials into the shed, buried some pavers for a path around back, filled in holes with dirt, and started taking metal siding off the old house.  Got a lot accomplished.

Today is Grandma Taylor's birthday.  Happy Birthday!  We celebrated with dinner.  And we got home in time to try out our new bike trailer.  Audrey seemed to enjoy it.

Sleepy girl

Not a whole lot going on this week.  Audrey must've had an exciting day today at daycare as she fell asleep while eating after 15 minutes when I got home, slept for an hour, then was falling asleep while I was feeding her cereal, then falling asleep while nursing.  So I put her down and now she's ready to play!

She's also becoming quite the "roller".  You put her in the middle of the living room and soon she's either at our bedroom door or under the coffee table.

Landscaping

Brian started taking/tearing things out of the old house to re-use or scrap.  And M&E Landscaping (Mark & Ellen) came down to start beautifing around the house.  It's a start and looks better already.

Happy Grandparents Day

I was not aware of this holiday, but apparently Grandparents Day is tomorrow.  Audrey's daycare had a party so Dad and Grandpa Dave went to celebrate.  Grandpa helped Audrey make this cookie. 

Audrey is a natural at posing for pictures.  After a few smiles, she destroyed the cookie and actually got a taste of frosting before we wrestled it away from her.
