Evelyn's homecoming

Evelyn has settled in nicely. She is sleeping great and eating like a pro. Audrey is doing pretty good with the adjustment; she does get a little jealous while Evelyn nurses and will also want to sit on my lap. And she got very upset when Evelyn had her bilirubin checked and was crying - Dad then gave her chocolate and that was the end of that :)

Happy Birthday Evelyn Grace!

Evelyn Grace Taylor arrived this morning after about 7 hours of labor. She weighed in at 7lbs 12oz and is 18.5in long. She looks a lot like her big sister did at birth but is much better at breastfeeding. Both my daughters are punctual - arriving exactly on their due dates :)

Audrey brought her own baby along.  She did end up giving Evelyn a kiss before she left.

Swimming

Audrey swimming at the country club last weekend.  She had a little mishap the day before with her nose :(

Our pool doesn't really compare, but it works on these hot days.  And yes, I am very pregnant!

Brian has started the updating of the barn.  We have half a door now!  Looks good. 

Fair!

We went to the fair last night.  Audrey mostly liked running around, but also got caught up with all the people and noises.

She really liked the carousel and wouldn't get off after the first ride, but decided she'd had enough mid-way through the second. 

Last day in TN

Our last day in Tennessee we spent the morning creek walking and picnicking, then to the pool and dinner with everyone before we left.

 

Cold water and very slippery.  Audrey did a face-plant into a rock and got a nice bruise on her cheek.

Hiking and White Water Rafting

Yesterday, we started the day with a family picture, then a hike to the highest point in the Appalachian Mountains -it was only 0.5miles to the top, but still a challenge.  Then some went white water rafting in the afternoon, including Brian, while the rest went to the water park.

Gatlinburg, TN

We are in Tennessee this weekend to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary.  It was a loooong drive! but we finally made it here.  Our first day was spent in Ober Gatlinburg which is a family fun area up in the mountain.

We also went through a maze, playing mini-golf and rode the alpine slide (even I could go on that-though the had to clear the slide to let the pregnant girl go down).
