Evelyn turns two!!

Our sweet Evelyn is two years old today!  She is talking so much more and is very loving and snuggly.

 

We had banana split for her birthday dessert.  Here she is licking it clean.  She loved the stickers she got from Aunt Linda and Uncle Mike.

action-packed weekend

We had another busy weekend - will be sorry to see summer go.

 

It started with a cornbelters game.  The girls did pretty good.  It helped that it wasn't that crowded, and there were nachos.

Saturday Brian's family came over to cook-out and celebrate Dave's birthday.

We went to the Fairbury Fair today to watch Mariah ride her horse and road some rides of our own.  Can't wait for Audrey and Evelyn to be participating in the horse competitions.

We even dusted off the old kayak and took it for a spin at a nearby lake.  Haven't been kayaking since I lived in Peoria.

Poor Evelyn was sick with a high fever for several days.  Seems to be over it now.

 

She got served breakfast in front of the TV, which has never happened before.  Since she wasn't eating much, I think Bessie ended up getting most of it.

We are never lacking for snugglers.  I'm not sure where Brian and I sleep.

The girls passed out after spending the day with Grandpa - who earlier ran a 5 mile mud race.

After Allen helped Brian install the new dog fence, he stayed for dinner and this was Evelyn's version of the silent treatment.  This is how she stayed the rest of the meal.

Word is out now that Evelyn (and Audrey again) is going to be a big sister!  Baby #3 will arrive in February.

Disney World!

I am 1 month late on posting this, but better late than never.  We took a dream vacation to Disney World in June.  My entire family was able to go at the same time.  We had a great time despite the very hot and humid weather.  Many thanks to Mom and Dad for making it possible.

July 4th weekend

We had a fun-filled and busy long weekend.  Started with a buffet and fireworks at the country club on Friday night.  Then in a parade Saturday morning, followed by a great nap for myself and Audrey, a cookout and more fireworks.  Ended with a day at the pool.
