Home Improvement Projects

We have done a few home improvement projects recently.  There's always something to do. 

 

Brian and his Dad installed the storm door.  It looks nice and helps block the wind.

My dad has visions of a circle drive, nice grassy area and shade tree.  So Brian and Allen made the drive, Dad  seeded and watered, and trees will be planted.  It turned out good.

2 months old!

Wow! Time flies!  Evelyn is already 2 months old.  She got her check-up last week and weighs 12lbs (70 something percentile).  Also got her shots that caught up with her about 4 hours later when she cried like she's never cried before - poor girl.  It was her first day at daycare today and they said she ate great, but wouldn't sleep.  I think they were frustrated...

 

The girls and I went north to visit this weekend.  Had a wonderful lunch to celebrate Henry's 1st birthday(!), went to the playground and took a walk.

Happy Halloween

Big surprise, I dressed up the girls as M&M's for Halloween this year.  Cropsey Women's Club had a pumpkin party earlier this week.  They had games and prizes and cupcakes.  Audrey warmed up after 30 minutes and then really enjoyed the musical dots (like musical chairs, except they are just circles on the floor and everyone wins).  Then tonight, despite the rain, we went to a few houses for trick-or-treating.  Audrey was flabbergasted that she got to pick candy from the huge bowls- she didn't believe she got to keep it and thus wouldn't let go of any candy!

Busy weekend

We had a very busy weekend. Gma and Gpa came down with a bunch of trees to plant- which Gpa and Brian planted. Then Brian and I went on a date! Woo-hoo, first time out alone since our anniversary in January (and that was lunch). Sunday we went to celebrate nephews Luke and Tyler getting baptised. They rented a bouncy house and Audrey had a blast. Then stopped at my parents' friends house to dig up some more little trees that are growing wild and this morning Gma and Gpa planted those. Should have quite the forest in 20 years ;)

5 weeks old

With a rainy Saturday and a cold and windy Sunday, we had to get creative this weekend to stay busy. So we busted open the chest with some of my old things in it and had ourselves a tea party.
