enjoying summer

Bessie is 52lbs now and just got spayed.  Still a nuisance but getting better

11 months old

Miss Evelyn is 11 months old now!  She is crawling everywhere, has two teeth and is not sleeping through the night :)  She has a big smile and is very cuddly.

These rocking chairs are from an auction.  My mom refinished them and they turned out great.

Audrey is definitely a Daddy's girl; wants to do anything he is doing.

We went to the McLean County Fair today.  Audrey looking at a pig.

About the only ride Audrey was tall enough for was the carousel.  As soon as it started moving, she got scared and Brian held her the entire time.

Thank you to Gma and Gpa Taylor for watching the girls this week while daycare was closed!

Lots of Rain!

Friday night into Saturday morning we got 3 1/2 inches of rain; ended up with a lake in our yard (and thankfully a dry basement).

10 months old!

Evelyn now has two teeth!  She is 10 months old.  Crawling and sometimes pulling to a stand.  Laughs at Audrey but doesn't like Audrey playing with her (mostly involves choking in an attempt to pick her up).

It was a busy and productive weekend.  I took the day off work on Friday to get some things done.  Mike and Chuck came down Thursday to help.  And Mom and Dad came down Friday night.  Among the things we got done include;

organizing the building supplies and things in the shed

cutting and stacking firewood

painting the brick on the barn

putting lights on Mike's truck

applying Weed & Feed to most of the yard

mowing

picking up grass clippings

washing windows and screens

cleaning the house

baking

Evelyn hasn't been feeling good.  Not acting herself, screaming in the night.  She's either constipated, teething, both or literally possessed by the devil.

Bessie also got painted; from rubbing against the barn and when Audrey "helped" paint :)

Thanks to all who helped.  There is always work to be done around here.  Glad to have great family around!
